I first met Samantha and Andrew via Skype as they currently live in Pittsburgh. Even though we were not in the same room, it was easy to take note of the love they shared as they sat cozy on their couch holding hands. Since they didn’t live in Spokane, we didn’t get to meet as often as I prefer, nor did we get to have an engagement session, but I think we did just fine capturing their wedding day.
Andrew’s reaction to seeing his lovely bride for the first time is one of my favorites. He was simply speechless and could only smile and reach for his handkerchief as his tears of love and admiration streamed from his eyes. The photos of Andrew lying his head on Sam’s shoulder immediately after hugging his bride for the first time is one of my favorites :)
Samantha and Andrew’s love for their family & friends, literature, history, and the autumn season was hard to miss at their Mukagowa wedding. It was a bit chilly and windy, but the entire bridal party toughed through it to make their friends’ wedding day as memorable as possible.
I have to share Sam’s email she sent me after viewing all of her wedding photos the other night:

“Crystal,
I can’t stop going through all of our wedding photos–we absolutely love them. I so appreciate how you captured all the little details from the day–my grandma’s cake stand, the decorations my sisters, friends and I stayed up late putting together, all the beautiful fall colors and pine trees. The composition, light, and editing in the photos is beautiful. I love the creativity of the poses and settings you chose. But most of all, I love how you captured the emotion and feeling from the day the way Andrew and I remember it–the joy, love, happiness, togetherness, celebration, and fun that we felt all day long. You managed to capture expressions on the faces of the people I love most that are just so them. My mom kept saying things like “That picture is just so Abby!” and “Jenny always makes that face–it makes me miss her!” as she went through the pictures, and I totally agreed with her. Andrew hates to have his picture taken and that usually comes across in pictures of us together, but you somehow managed to capture the natural smiles and expressions he makes all the time that I love so much. Thank you for all your hard work. You definitely have a gift! We will treasure these pictures and the memories they hold forever.
Thank you again.
-Sam and Andrew”
